Laina just turned 14 months a few days ago, and a few of her favorite things are:
-Stacking blocks
-Playing peek-a-boo (except now she initiates it!)
-Playing with her baby dolls
-Saying “thank you” every time she hands something to anyone
-Building puzzles
-Going to her music class
-Whispering and being whispered to
-Being chased
-Bringing books to people so they will read to her
-Crinkling her face at strangers (and friends/family) It’s always funny when we run errands together because she typically gives the person behind us a “crinkle”
-Kissing everyone and everything…especially Petey and Ellie, her babies, Snoodles (teddy bear), and Santa Claus
-Flirting (batting her eyelashes)
-Shaking her head and saying “no” (of course!!)
-Doing “knuckles” (fist bump taught to Laina by Auntie Colleen!)
-Showing off her signs! The newest one is the sign for bird (which she also does when she sees a turtle, snake, etc =)
-Practicing her inflection! She points at everything and says “dat” (that) with such enthusiasm.
-Playing with her friends
-Being outside when its windy–she thinks it is hysterical!
-CLIMBING! She definitely keeps us on our toes pretty much at all times =)
-Walking around with the phone and saying “Hey”
-Practicing her new words! It continuously amazes us every time we hear Laina speak a new word. It seems like every day she says a new word. Her latest words are chord, turtle, purple, oval, hot, happy, tasty, easy. My favorite though, is “good girl.” I just can’t get enough.
So I guess that is more than just a few…but it’s nice to write a lot of this down so we don’t forget all of these adorable little traits she has…because as we have seen, it goes by all too fast!
