Laina and I have been going to a music class (Music Together) since the beginning of December,and I was finally able to get a few pictures last week since my mom with went us. We have both really enjoyed the classes, and look forward to it every week! I appreciate the way the class really encourages kids to actively participate in making music–it seems that Laina and the other children seem to be demonstrating an understanding of rhythm. They really get into the songs and activities, and have their own little ways of dancing along and making music with different instruments (or their hands and feet!) Laina has gotten to the point where she recognizes the songs and even “sings” along to them.
Laina typically likes to be right in the middle of the circle, or right in front of the instructor. Too funny!
Most of the kids sit with their mommies during several of the songs…but Laina typically ventures off to meet a new friend =). I guess I won’t take it personally 😉
