Last week, Nicole, Katy and I headed down to the Murphy’s farmhouse for a few days with all of our girls. Mrs. Murphy was brave enough to join us, too =). It was such a treat–the farmhouse sits on 5 acres of gorgeous land in a very quiet spot on the Northern Neck. It has such charm and character, and every little detail of the house has a story behind it.
The girls had a chance to run around the yard, pick fruit from the trees, swim in the pool, go for nature walks, have picnics, etc. It’s always so special to see the girls together…and they are all old enough now (except little Tessa) that they have their own little relationships. They are all full of personality, and it was very entertaining to see all 5 of them hanging together. Pure entertainment (and chaos at times!) Nicole, Katy and I had a few chances to totally relax though. Since Mrs. Murphy was kind enough to hold down the fort while the girls napped, we had a chance to go kayaking and take the motor boat out. We also got to go out to dinner one night.
It was a great little get-away, and we made lots of memories together.
After the few days came to an end, we all agreed that it was a blast..but we would bring our hubbies along next time so have some extra hands around! We were outnumbered this time around!!
