music to our ears

Most mornings, Sam and I get to wake up to what we feel is the sweetest noise in the world. These days, our alarm clock is listening to Laina chat, sing, and play with her “friends” in her crib. Most mornings, she plays in her crib for about an hour…and we hear a wide variety of activities that go on up there. It’s pretty awesome because we can just hear her imagination working.
Some of her favorite songs to sing right now are” “Itsy Bitsy Spider,” “Mary had a Little Lamb,” “You are my Sunshine,” “Baby Bumble Bee.” So, we hear bits and pieces of each of these songs. We also hear her talking to her baby dolls and stuff animals. “All fall down!” “Hugging Nosey” “Abby’s sleeping in da bed,” etc etc. Other things we hear a lot: “It’s breakfast time!!!!” “Where did **any of her grandparents* go?” “Mommy, Daddy, Laina!” “Where did Ellie go?” She also calls out for people. Mostly her family members, but also any friends that we have seen recently. It’s really quite entertaining..and we never know what’s going to come out of her mouth. She definitely keeps us guessing!
