We’ve started a tradition of doing the Homeless Walkathon the weekend before Thanksgiving. This year, we decided to take the bus and metro into the city…and Laina had such a fun time checking out the public transportation scene. I think she preferred the bus since it was a bit more scenic, but she managed to make some friends on the metro since we were on it for for a longer period of time. She was making some of the passengers laugh when she asked me, “Where did Sam go??” When I explained to the people that she was talking about her Daddy, they definitely got a kick out of it.
