Strawberry pickin

We headed to Waldorf, MD the other day with some friends to a strawberry patch. Apparently, strawberry picking with a 2.5 year old isn’t the most “fruitful” experience. Sam had encouraged me to bring home many dozens of strawberries so we could not only have some yummy fresh strawberries to […]

Building Museum

laina loves the building museum…especially when she gets to bring a friend along! laina and oliver had just as much fun playing in the children’s section as they did enjoying their muffin, taking a stroll around the museum, and watching the fountain.

Mt. Vernon

Wide open spaces to run, trees to climb, sheep to pet, and a picnic lunch with friends. We had a fun day a Mt. Vernon!

“Gram”

Laina always has a blast on “Grammy days” as she gets to spend the whole day playing and being silly with her Grammy! What’s more fun than that??

Valley Drive

My parents and I have always done something special on Chad’s birthday…whether it has been to go out to dinner or spend time in Old Town, we have tried to be together on that day. This year, we thought it would be fun to go to the carnival at Laina’s […]

Shark week (or month)

Since Laina’s interest in sharks has been continuing to grow, we decided now would be an ideal time to take her to the Baltimore Aquarium. Now, she’s a pretty enthusiastic little person…but that enthusiasm was seriously heightened as soon as she stepped foot in the Aquarium. Watch out sharks! It […]

Lately

Lately, I’ve been jotting down some of the things Laina says to us as there are so many sweet, funny, or clever things she comes up with. I want to snuggle with you, Mommy That sneaky fox is always trying to swipe our stuff (Dora reference) Is he scary? He […]
