Sam and I both just adore when Laina shows her affection towards us. Often, she feels most affectionate around bedtime. Yesterday, she was so expressive when I was putting her down for her nap. I had just finished reading a couple books to her, and she asked to practice some signs. We started doing a few back and forth, and she suddenly cupped my face with her little hands and said…”You’re so soft, Mommy. You’re the best of all..You’re the best ever, Mommy.” I am totally writing this down because of course I never want to forget it, and it certainly isn’t an every day occurrence that she utters these words! What a sweetheart.
