Our little guy has gone through many changes this month. It seems like he just wants to get up and run around with Laina at times, because he lunges himself forward and really just puts forth all his effort to move that little body of his. Soon enough, darlin. Anyway, he is no longer just rolling over periodically…it’s basically his favorite thing to do now. As soon as we put him down, he has flipped himself over in a matter of seconds. He’s now sleeping on his belly most of the time. I went in the other morning to get him out of bed, and he had managed to do a 180! He seemed to be very proud of himself based on the big grin he gave me when I looked at him :). He’s also started sucking his thumb. It’s quite adorable.
Some other things:
He *said* “deh deh” the other day. Of course he hasn’t made the association yet, but it was still fun to hear him make the sound.
He loves giving (and we happen to love receiving) those huge open mouth kisses. I know most things that babies do are pretty cute, but this takes the cake. When he comes towards us with his mouth wide open and plants it on our cheeks or mouth (or nose!), we just eat it up. Laina included. She thinks it’s hysterical.
He continues to make all kinds of noises (when he has the chance ;)…blowing raspberries is definitely a hobby right now. And, it sounds like he’s singing at times in his crib when he’s trying to fall asleep.
Happy baby dance. When we stand over him while he’s lying on his back, he moves every part of his body.
