Some milestones have crept up on me more than others. This was one of them. Laina lost her first tooth on December 19th! After her nap, she ate a candy cane that she had taken from her gingerbread house–and she ever so quietly and maturely walked into the room with me and said “Mommy, I lost my tooth.” She grew up right before my eyes. She was so calm and cool about it initially, but was then super excited about the idea of the tooth fairy coming! The very next night when she was having a slumber party with her cousins at Nanny and Poppy’s house, she lost another one!
