Laina started playing on her first soccer team a few weeks ago. Games are on Saturdays, and most of the time we all go to the games (though we sometimes have a hard time getting everyone out the door for the 8:00 games!) Luckily, most of them aren’t until 9:30 or after, so the boys and I can tag along too. Sam’s the assistant coach…which definitely brings back memories of when I played soccer and my Dad was assistant coach :). “Go, Deuce!”
Anyway, the verdict is out on whether L really likes playing soccer or not. She definitely love soccer practice because she’s miss social butterkly and gets to socialize with her friends and play fun games. She’s less interested in the actually playing the game of soccer, and told us that it’s mean to take the ball from other people (which is so representative of her personality.) I think she’s too polite to feel like she should take the ball away from others. Pretty cute. I guess it’s going to be up to the coaches to bring out the competitive side in her!!!
