Dear Laina, I had some time to myself after Daddy got home from work, so I decided to search for a little something to give you tomorrow for your preschool “graduation.” As I was walking through the store, a feeling of complete peacefulness came over me as I thought about […]

Reunion

We got to spend Sunday with a very dear childhood friend of mine along with her family. I hadn’t seen her in 6 years, but it’s one of those special friendships where you pick up right where you left off. I’ve known Jeanne since 2nd grade!!!!

Our little Austie turns 1

He’s our baby who is turning into a toddler right before our eyes. He’s our last baby, and we all treat him as such. This little guy could not be more openly adored by all of us, and I’m pretty sure Laina just wants to claim him as her own. […]

Love this.

Favorite things

Last weekend, we got an early start on Saturday to take the metro into DC to do some of the kids’ favorite things. The train ride is definitely one of them! Elijah has been fixated on trains since he was one, so you can imagine his excitement level when he […]

Our little caretaker

Much of the time, Laina really enjoys helping us take care of Austin. Feeding him bottles, picking him up, comforting him when he cries, singing the alphabet to him when I change his diaper (since we fights me like crazy!), and continuously giving him affection.

Sneaky Mommy

I couldn’t help myself. We are technically not supposed to take pics during class, but I really wanted to document at least a little bit of Laina’s class. It made me feel a little better that a few other moms/grandmas were doing the same thing :).

Sweet, sweet boy

There is nothing sweeter and more peaceful than watching a baby sleep…especially when it’s your own. What a little angel.

Flexibility

In a family of 5, one of the most important things to be is flexible. On Saturdays, Laina has swim class and Elijah likes to go to the soft playroom in the rec center while she swims. This Saturday, they were especially excited to go because Grammy (or Gigi) and […]

Enamored

We have a similar picture of Elijah when he was a little older :). Austin spent a good 10 minutes just checking himself out the other morning. Laina and I got a kick out of it!
