Random acts of kindness

A few weeks ago, we had a pretty chaotic morning. I don’t even remember what exactly was going on, but it just sometimes gets crazy in the morning when I’m trying to prepare breakfast, make sure Austie is safe, change dirty diapers, deal with siblings fighting, etc etc!! So it was off to a rough start, and I guess Laina picked up on it. Right after the she finished breakfast, she says to me: “Mommy, you shouldn’t have to do all this by yourself. Let me do the dishes.” Ummmm…..okay.
She put all the dirty dishes in the dishwasher, cleared off the table, and wiped off the table. Not only that, but when I got back from changing Austin…she told me to look on the kitchen counter as she was heading upstairs to get changed. I glanced over and she had made me a special treat…a graham cracker with peanut butter and honey on it. She knows how much I love that! Made my day on so many levels.
