Time to get serious about keeping our blog current. I’m implementing one of my resolutions a bit early and I’m going to give it my best effort to maintain this again. I have a lot of catching up to do, but I’ll just start with our fun December memories. This past weekend was pretty full. Sam and I got to go out on Saturday night. Going out these days means attending a themed preschool fundraising party, but we’ll take it! We’ve done this every year since Laina started preschool, and have enjoyed it each time. All of the parents are in charge of putting it on, so there’s a bit of work involved…but obviously for a worthwhile cause! And…it gives the parents a chance to hang out outside of just dropping off and picking up our kids from school. The fact that there is an open bar every year is kind of dangerous ;)…especially because I imagine most of us don’t get out too much. We had a lot of fun, but definitely paid for it the next day!! Unfortunately Mommy and Daddy weren’t up for taking the trip to the Christmas tree farm the next morning…so we ended up going to Zoo Lights instead. The kids loved all of the light formations, and just being at the zoo at night! Some of the animal houses were open, so we checked those out too. The favorite animal of the night was definitely this little armadillo that was quickly scurrying around. Both L & E could have watched him all night. Before heading to the zoo, we went to a nearby restaurant that Sam and I used to go to before the kids were born. We got to eat on the rooftop which was fun..especially because Elijah got to see the firetruck driving by. Little Austin just rolled with everything like usual. A fun night!
