Well, it appears that life will be changing for Mommy and Daddy pretty soon because Elijah is currently doing the “army crawl” and making his way around pretty well these days. He also likes to get up on his hands and knees, rock a few times, then lunge himself forward. Especially if there’s an interesting toy in sight. He has signed milk so far…and likes the sign so much that he likes to do it when he wants real food and when he’s sleepy :). That’s okay with us because we know what he’s trying to say! And just this morning, I kept repeating “More” to him when I was feeding him, and a few times he made the sound “Ma” while looking at the food.
His fascination with the cats and Laina is still going strong. He also loves to scan the room for Daddy while he’s nursing. So, his meals sometimes take a while since he’s busy playing games with Sam:). Sam LOVES this. Thinks it’s the cutest thing (and it is.)
Elijah gets really excited about water. He had his first shower last week and got such enjoyment out of it. He tried to grab the water and liked sticking his face in the water a bit so he could lick it. He also just loves to watch water coming out of the faucet, drinking water from his bottle, etc. We went to a new park in Old Town the other day right by the water, and he loved watching the ripples.
He’s a pretty social little thing when we are out and about, and typically flashes his huge smile when he makes eye contact with someone. In fact, some of the moms at preschool tell me that seeing his smile is their therapy b/c it’s so heartwarming. I have to agree.
Anyway, our little man is 7 months old and growing right before our eyes. Love him to pieces.
