Buddy (as Laina refers to him) is now 6 months old. That’s half of a year, ya know. And I have to say our little “buddy” is a true snuggle bug. Maybe it’s because we don’t really give him an option not to snuggle because we know how quickly this little baby of ours will turn into an energetic toddler who we can hardly keep up with. It could also be that he is extra squishy and kissable. Or maybe he really does like the snuggle as much as we think he does :). All I know is that the three of us just can’t seem to get close enough to him. Poor guy…always having someone in his face!
Anyway, he is busy as ever these days…rolling all over the place and moving his little body in circles. He enjoys smacking his lips together, sucking his thumb (adorable), “talking” with is mouth closed, playing with the tags on any toy, watching Laina play, . Oh, and his giraffe. Aunt Pam gave him a green giraffe that he just adores. This giraffe is to Elijah as Nosey was to Laina. He likes to play with him before he goes down for his naps, and I like to peek in his room to find out where the giraffe ended up. Sometimes E has his arm wrapped around him, is using him as a pillow, or is grasping onto him in his sleep. These two are inseparable. 😉
We also started feeding Elijah pureed foods. Not too much yet…just sweet potatoes, pears, and peas. So far they’ve all been a hit. Only tricky thing is that is seems he is ready to dive in there and feed himself already. We have to fight him to get the spoon out of his hand!
It’s been a fun 6 months, little buddy.
