4 months

 

Elijah melts my heart. All he has to do is give me that sweet smile of his and it’s all over. He is 4 months now, and starting to develop his little personality more and more. We have been hearing more babbling these days, especially when we lay him down to change his diaper. For some reason, he prefers to talk during these moments. This may be because he spends the rest of his wake time listening to and watching his big sister!
He has rolled over both ways…he likes to grab onto our arm for a little assistance… and his favorite thing to do these days is to suck on his toes! Poor guy has really been working hard to bring those feet to his mouth, and he finally had success this weekend! It’s so funny to watch him do this because you can tell it brings him such joy. Who knew?
What else? Well, he seems to really enjoy the wind. He smiles and squeals when the wind smacks him in the face. He also is all smiles when we drop off/pick up Laina at preschool. I think he just digs seeing all the kids. Of course, the biggest smile is reserved for Laina when she comes running out after school. So cute.
He’s also more interested in touching Petey and Ellie these days. He tracks them across the room, and at times it’s like he is trying to get up and move towards them. Ellie will actually come close enough to him so he has been able to grab onto her fur. Petey, well…we all know his story. He keeps his distance from E. No surprise there.
We just got back from his 4 month appt, and like Laina, he is in the 90th percentile for height. Don’t know how we make these long babies!
The three of us can’t get enough of our little man, and can’t wait to see how he continues to grow.
