I know I’m way way behind in posting entries, but I had to quickly jot this down because it is just too funny..
Laina has recently watched a bit more television that we’d like to admit since her parents are sleep deprived and on survival mode many days ;). We let her watch a movie few weeks ago, and now it is her favorite thing in the world.
So…there are two really funny things to say about this movie. The first one was captured in the pictures below. Let me set the scene:
The four of us were just about to head out the door to a Halloween party at friends house. Laina BEGGED us to finish the movie before we headed out. Since it was only a few more minutes, we let her. At some point, I looked over at her in the midst of getting everything together, and she had the cutest grin on her face and said, “This is where they are gonna kiss!” She put her fist up to her mouth and kissed it while she watched this scene. Her smile got progressively bigger and bigger. Sam and I were both surprised by her level of excitement over a kiss…but like most things she does–we thought it was adorable!
The second thing to mention about this movie: It takes place in New Orleans, and all the characters have a very thick accent. So, guess how Laina has been talking lately? Yes, with a thick New Orleans accent. It’s hilarious. I don’t even think she realizes she’s doing it sometimes. I’ll post a video of it soon. The other night she asked me, “Mama, can I we-ah ma underweah to bed?” I can’t help but laugh out loud every time she does it!!
