Smitten

Laina has taken quite a liking to Elijah :). She is so affectionate with him, and continuously asks to hold him. She also sings to him, and tells him “everything’s alright” when he cries. Pretty often, he smiles as soon as she gets close to him. It’s really very sweet to watch.

These are some of the things Laina says on a regular basis about her baby brother:

Awe, he’s talking to me/he’s smiling at me…What’s he sayin?…He’s so cute…He’s my little squealer…His bottom is kind of wrinkly…He talks by making noises…He’s not even gonna cry (when we change his diaper)…

She also likes to discuss all the things he will do when he’s older:
“One day when Elijah is older, he’ll sit at the table with us and have dinner.”
“When Elijah is older, he’ll be able to stand up.” “When he is older, he can dress up as a princess.” “When he is older, I can teach him signs!”
