Preferences

We learn more and more about Laina’s preferences each day. Anyone that has spent any length of time with her knows that she definitely has a strong preference for the color green. Green skirts, green shirts, green crayons, green surf boards, green blankets, green cups…..you name it. We were not however, prepared to hear that she also has a strong preference about her soon-to-be brother or sister. On the way home from a playgroup the other day, Laina and I were talking about the baby (who she is convinced is a girl, and we will be naming her Victoria.) After a few minutes of talking about all the things we will be able to do with the baby, Laina says to me “I want a green baby.” I’m cool with green crayons and markers and clothes, Laina…but it stops there! 🙂
