We headed to Waldorf, MD the other day with some friends to a strawberry patch. Apparently, strawberry picking with a 2.5 year old isn’t the most “fruitful” experience. Sam had encouraged me to bring home many dozens of strawberries so we could not only have some yummy fresh strawberries to eat, but also so we could make preserves, etc. Sounded like a good idea to me. Maybe if there hadn’t been farm animals there, we would have come closer to meeting our original goal, but instead, we came home with a whopping 22 strawberries. 🙂 How funny. The kids loved the experience overall, but the act of picking strawberries was only interesting for so long. I don’t think any of us came home with more than one container of strawberries, but it was worth it!
