Lately, I’ve been jotting down some of the things Laina says to us as there are so many sweet, funny, or clever things she comes up with.
I want to snuggle with you, Mommy
That sneaky fox is always trying to swipe our stuff (Dora reference)
Is he scary? He has sharp teeth!
When i was a baby, I used to play soccer (really??!!)
I’m gonna be a woman one day….I’m gonna get bigger and bigger and BIGGER!
When i grow up, I’m gonna be a band.
I want a green backpack to take to school.
Within the last month or so, she has also started pronouncing her “R’s.” It’s funny that Sam and I were kind of saddened by the fact that she is no longer using the “W” sound in place of R’s…but it’s yet another indicator that she is growing up right before our eyes.
Some other stuff: Fascination with sharks and dinosaurs (and all things scary!); love for the game “I spy with my little eyes…”; desire to introduce herself to most little boys and girls; ability to master the art of pouting (or self-soothing as Sam calls it)–when she is upset, she sighs and walks to the corner for a few minutes. It’s quite cute!
