Laina loves her Auntie Vicky, and she occasionally gets to spend the entire day with her. My friend Victoria–who is really part of our family–takes a day off here and there to hang out with Laina and I. I find it to be really special that Victoria takes the time to spend these days with Laina, and I feel as though they are really getting to know each other and develop a special bond. I remember when Victoria used to talk to Laina when I was pregnant:).
This time, we spent a good portion of the day inside because it was raining outside. Laina and Victoria spend endless amounts of time playing with playdough, having tea parties, and coloring throughout the morning. In the afternoon, we headed over to the nature center to hang out for a bit. Ironically, it is the same center that Victoria used to go to when she was a little girl.
An added bonus was that Sam and I got to go out to dinner since Victoria offered to hang out at our house after Laina went to bed!
