So…we decided that it was time to venture out and choose a potty for Laina today because she has been showing us signs that she is ready to start this new chapter of her life. We just weren’t sure if we were quite ready for it! The three of us went to Target today and picked out a potty together. Once we got home, Laina had some lunch while Sam assembled the potty which was somehow supposed to fit in the tiniest bathroom on the planet. Sam and I figured we would just let it hang out in the bathroom so Laina could get used to it and check it out when she wanted to. We had read that was a good first step in the whole potty training process. Well let’s just say Laina got used to it. Within a few minutes, and she “pee-peed!” Sam and I were really surprised (especially since we still haven’t quite decided what strategy were going to go with!)–but it was so cool to watch her do this. She ended up going to the bathroom 4 times today. Apparently, she has just been waiting for us to get her a potty! Get on the ball Mommy and Daddy!!
