It’s unfortunate that we don’t live closer to Laina’s cousins (and aunt and uncle, of course!) They spent a few days in town recently, and we all had such a fun time watching all of the kids interact. It seemed that they instantly felt the family connection as they were all so affectionate with each other. After being around each other for a short amount of time, Laina, Darcy, and Logan were hugging and kissing each other. They also spent a lot of time exploring in Nanny and Poppy’s yard…learning about caterpillars, collecting rocks, sitting in trees, playing with the fountain, etc. Laina really learned their names well (Dahcy and Yogan) and this was the first occasion they all three really got to know each other. The weekend topped off with a fish fry with both of our families, followed by a great game of chase in the living room that consisted of Logan chasing both Darcy and Laina as they tried to find a parent or grandparent to protect them. We were all really glad to see all the kids starting what will be life long relationships. Laina hasn’t stopped talking about her cousins since their visit!
