Easy, Mama

There are certain phrases that Laina says that I find particularly hilarious. “Easy, mama” was one of the first phrases she said so we have heard it many times. I was reminded the other day, though, just how funny it is I guess for anyone to hear this little voice uttering these words. We had someone come over to fix our A/C the other day,so the three of us had to head upstairs to check out the unit. Laina issued her warning as I so gracefully (or not so gracefully) stepped over the baby gate with her in my arms. “Easy, mama” she cautioned me. I am so used to hearing these words, but obviously this guy was not. He was laughing so hard…and then of course, I started laughing. I guess we all know what follows…Laina proceed to repeat “Easy, mama” as she knows we were getting a kick out of it. After he left, I kept smiling about it..because seroiusly–isn’t it just funny to hear your 18 month old telling you to be careful?!?

Side note…Laina also says “Easy, mama” whenever she thinks she needs to be cautious about something, too. Too funny.
