A couple of the best decisions I’ve made in my life: marrying and creating a family with Sam.. and picking up a camera. While I have to say I’m a little bummed out that I have neglected our sweet little blog on and off for the past couple years, I have also gotten so much fulfillment out of focusing much of my energy on photographing people (including my own little people!) over the past few years. During the past year, our little side photography business has done some growing up. It’s starting to feel more like a legit part-time job rather than something I just do on occasion. I’ve loved every minute of it, and it excites me so much to think about continuing down this path. I’ve gotten to do some marketing for a local business, Fall photos for the preschool, and lots family sessions with some awesome people. I even got my first wedding inquiry! It’s been a crazy 6 months trying to maintain balance…but I have an amazing partner! So, THANK YOU Sam!!!
The added bonus of my love affair with my camera is that we have some images of our children and family that we truly cherish. I only hope that they may someday understand the depth of my love and the way I see them in these images. They are certainly gifts for us to have, and I hope our kids will one day see them as gifts, too.
