Last weekend, we finally were able to meet Annie! Our good friends Kayla and Jay brought Annie into the world on November 18th, and she is absolutely precious. I got to hold her for the majority of the time we visited with them–and was reminded of all those adorable newborn noises and movements. I love how newborns just want to be snuggled with!
Laina enjoyed the visit, too…although she had more of an interest in eating snacks than checking Annie out. Sam and I noticed something interesting though.. Laina was less engaged than she normally is, and it seemed that she was almost steering clear of me most of the time. As soon as Annie was no longer in my arms though, she came right over. She then wanted to check out Annie when Kayla was holding her. We couldn’t help but wonder if we just observed her first feelings of jealousy!! How cute.
