Since Laina’s interest in sharks has been continuing to grow, we decided now would be an ideal time to take her to the Baltimore Aquarium. Now, she’s a pretty enthusiastic little person…but that enthusiasm was seriously heightened as soon as she stepped foot in the Aquarium. Watch out sharks! It was so much fun for Sam and I to watch her response to seeing all of the sea creatures, but especially the sharks. I’m sure she could have just stayed with the sharks the entire day, but we had more ground to cover! She would say “Look at his teeth, Daddy….he’s so scary”…”Awwweee, look at that baby shark…she’s so sweet”….”let’s wait for another one to come!”…etc, etc.
She also was thrilled to find Nemo there, but wanted to know where Nemo’s Daddy was since there was only clown fish in that particular tank ;). The jellyfish exhibit and the Children’s Discovery Center were big hits, too.
We were also able to meet up with some friends midway through our visit, so Laina got to watch the Dolphin Show with her friend Sameh.
I have a feeling we’ll be going back in the near future….it was such a fun day for all of us!
